What-if costing analysis
Costing What-if analysis in activity based costing with ABC Focus facilitates the investigation of different scenarios e.g. increases all or some expenses.
This facility enables global changes. The What-If changes are made to the currently open model, and are permanent.
The changes can be implemented per section . For instance an adjustment to Cost lines – Revenue, employees, materials or expenses. The change could apply to all lines of this type, or on a per category basis.
If all lines of this type are to be changed, fill in the percentage to change it by (can be positive or negative e.g. up by 5%, down by 5%).
If lines are to be changed by category, then the categories are listed. A change is entered in the Change by % column for any category.
Output budgeting is another allied capability within the software to investigate outcomes from different computations of the data
